Erika. 20. Sheffield Hallam University studying English. I love comedy, history, Shakespeare, books, TV, films, the 60s, the 80s and the 90s. I'm very into superheroes, and mutants. Batman and Wolverine. Black Widow and Storm. *Marvel & DC in perfect harmony*. I still watch Disney animated movies. Italian food is the best. I'm fascinated with Ireland, despite having no Irish heritage or connection to it at all. Religion from all cultures interests me, in spite of the fact that I'm an Atheist. I love learning about the World Wars and the Holocaust & I have a great respect for it. I have visited Auschwitz and cried at Sachsenhausen. I'm straight and I support gay marriage everywhere. I also support animal rights. I've adopted a polar bear through WWF. I have a pet rabbit who's rather old now. I try to be the funny one in my group of friends and I often fail at it. I do succeed however, at being the craziest and silliest in the group. Now if you don't mind, I have some scuba diving to do.

cursewordsandpoetry:

I starred in this short film No1 Dad for my housemate who studies film at Sheffield Hallam.

I play Jack, a young lad considering all the different reactions his Dad could have when he comes out as gay.

About 5 minutes long, nice comedy film that is really well made.

This is really good! (Yeah, I go to the same uni…no bias!) :P

Thank fuck I’m moving back to uni in 18 days.

The worst part is my blank noticeboard :(

AND despite having spent the early hours of this morning packing instead of sleeping, my room still looks incredibly lived in (i.e. messy).

On the up-side, I found one of my favourite earrings that I thought I’d lost. It’s like the only decent one that goes with my stretcher tunnel.

Ignore my mingin’ chewed up lips.

I think you all wanna see my room now, yes? Good, cos I’mma show ya. What’s the point of a personal post without pictures?

And no, I haven’t gotten round to doing the washing up yet. I’ll do it later when I get bored.

Can’t be up too late tonight though. Wanna be up early before my mum and uncle get here so I can dash over to the used book shop across the road and get that copy of Michael Palin’s diaries 1969-1979 O_O I’ll probably end up buying others too that I won’t have time to read, but oh well.

Anyway, this has been an ‘end of freshers’ post.

I write for a website called HerUni.com and I’ve recently uploaded an article about the Kony 2012 phenomenon and what’s become of it now. I’m also the editor for the Sheffield Hallam page, and I’m trying to raise the profile of our page.

We’ve had some great contributions so far and they haven’t really been appreciated as much as they should have been.

So go on, check out some of the articles and I know you’re all probably logged onto facebook and twitter as well as on here, so when you read an article, in the top left there are social media ‘buttons’. GET LIKING AND TWEETING, MOFO’S!

There’s loads of noise outside because Sheffield Hallam (my university) won Varsity against University of Sheffield tonight. Ninth year in a row apparently. It doesn’t surprise me though because you need like all A’s to get into Uni of, so I can imagine they all pretty much look like Michael Cera with glasses.

In bloody buggery heaven sweeties.

Jealous?
